Partnership Development Manager

Matt is a Qualified PE teacher who previously worked within the West Norwich & Dereham School Sport Partnership between 2016-2022. Matt was responsible for the planning, management & delivery of the School sport events each academic year whilst being involved in PE subject support such as mentoring, Audits, Lesson observations, Teacher training & help evidencing the impact PE can have on young people — delivering proven results in raising the standards of Teaching & Learning in Primary PE across many Schools

Matt has worked within Sport, Leisure & Education for over 15 years and has extensive experience of leading effective change in schools by driving up standards within both Primary & Secondary PE, with a superb understanding of Teaching & Learning

Elliott Udell
Partnership Operations Manager

Elliott joined the SSP in June 2022.

Leads on the delivery of an extensive offer of competitions / Festivals / Events and in School event delivery.

Elliott also leads activity projects within the SSP, such as Barclays Girls Football and Daily Physical Activity initiatives, and is a core part of the leadership of the SSP and everything it offers and achieves.

Ellise Owen
HHA Lead

Ellise became the SSP Healthy, Happy, Active (HHA) Lead during the Covid pandemic in 2020-21.

As the HHA lead for the Partnership, Ellise provides the partnership and member schools with ideas, support, training and resources to support the SSP HHA Agenda.

Ellise brings huge energy to one of the most important aspects of SSP provision in a rapidly changing world where health, happiness and activity have never been more important.

Schools can buy HHA days / services as packages covering a huge range of support areas linked to health & wellbeing.

Jenny Day
Project Officer-EVENTS

Jenny is the Partnership Project Officer (Event lead) for the SSP. Working part-time, Jenny will bring a wealth of experience to the role. Jenny supports a significant number of SSP events over the year as well as leading other projects throughout the partnership.

Jenny also leads the North Norfolk SSP, leading to excellent collaboration with schools outside of the SSP and some exciting shared projects.

Mikaela Young
PDM ADMINISTRATION

Mikaela is the SSPs Administration Assistant.

Mikaela provides wide-ranging support to the SSP - she is the transport guru for all our events and helps keep Rob and the team in line!

Rob McCombe, WNDSSP Founder

Over the course of 16yrs Rob has worked tirelessly to establish the West Norwich & Derham School Sports Partnership as one of the most successful organisations of its type in the country. 

Working through various Government changes, funding upheavals, membership models & host School Headteachers Rob has always put the needs of the Schools, Teachers & young people within the Partnership first, helping hundreds of staff and thousands of children achieve their potential in PE & School Sport. 

Rob left the Partnership in 2024 to return to Secondary School teaching & faculty leadership, and leaves a legacy that will arguably never be matched in Norfolk. Thank you for everything Rob!
