Today we welcomed over 120 children for our YR 2-3 Active Maths - Dereham Festival ➕➖🟰➗✖️ 🔢 🧠 @derehamleisurecentre

The children were from 11 schools (12teams), who had lots of fun and trying to achieve their personal best in active maths activity stations. The idea was to combine maths with P.E & gave both the teachers & children new ideas of how to be active whilst learning maths to use back at school in their maths lessons🙌 the 6 active maths skilled activity stations were; matching telling the time, complete number bonds, treasure chest fractions, odds & evens, run & calculate & ordering numbers!

A huge well done to all the children who participated showing great attitudes and HONESTY (our school games value for this event). A massive thank you to Dereham Neatherd High School sports leaders who supported the event and encouraged the children throughout

Thanks to Lyng, Thomas Bullock, Scarning, Necton, Grove House infant, Kings Park Infant x2, Scarning, Garvestone, Toftwood Infant, Toftwood Jnr & Dereham infant for allowing their pupils to access this event.
