Athletic Fun for our Athletics Festival

Today we welcomed 180 children for our YR1-2 Athletics Festival Event at Taverham High School.

The children were from 18 schools, who had lots of fun and trying to achieve their personal best/try something new in 9 skilled-based activity stations on "egg & spoon alternative relay, bean bag into hoops, hurdles, slalom poles relay, long jump, soft javelin, bean bag balance, relay shuttles and ladders."

A huge well done to all the children who participated showing great attitudes and DETERMINATION (our schools games value for this event). A massive thanks to Taverham High School sports leaders who supported the event and encouraged the children throughout!

Thanks to Lodge Lane Infant, Toftwood Infant, Ghost Hill Infant, Nightingale infant, Dereham Infant, Cawston, Beeston, Kings Park Infant, Grove House Infant, Foulsham, Queens Hill, Corpusty, Stibbard, North Elmham, St Peter's, Barford, Bawburgh and Arden Grove infant for allowing their pupils to access this event.
It was great to Capture Youth Voice by speaking to a few pupils from participating schools during/after the event on their thoughts/feedback. Few quotes below for what it is all about;
