YR 5-6 TAG RUGBY FESTIVAL
PASS It On - TRY Rugby
Yesterday we had 120 children attending our YR5-6 Tag Rugby Festival Event at @easton_college
The children were from 9 schools (10 Teams), who had lots of fun and trying to achieve their personal best/TRY something new in 6 rugby skilled-based activity stations of Chase the Pass, Team Bulldog, Rob the Nest, Zig-Zag Passing, Tag Mania, SAQ Tackling Pads followed by non scoring matches against other schools (unfortunately due to the classic unpredictable UK rainy weather the non-scoring games did not go ahead but the children still had great fun with the skilled activities and loved it)!
A huge well done to all the children who participated showing great attitudes and DETERMINATION (our schools games value for this event). A massive thanks to @weareeastonsport sports leaders who supported the event and encouraged the children throughout!
Thanks to Barford, Bawburgh, Scarning, Swanton Morley, Bawdeswell, Dereham Jnr, Foulsham, Great Witchingham & Necton for allowing their pupils to access this event.
It was great to Capture Youth Voice by speaking to a few pupils from participating schools during/after the event on their thoughts/feedback. Few quotes below for what it is all about;
"engaging"
"loved it"
"fun and engaging despite the rain"
"enjoyable"
